Optical Engineer

Eritek is currently seeking an experienced optical or electrical engineer for a lab position supporting fiber optic communication systems and related test equipment.  Full-time position available immediately.

Responsibilities:

• Work in a lab environment testing and analyzing fiber optic communications equipment
• Set up and operate specialized or standard test equipment to diagnose, test, or analyze the performance of fiber-optical components, assemblies, or systems
• Manage important, highly visible project and deliver status updates to customers

Required Qualifications:

• US Citizen
• 5+ years optical/electrical engineering experience
• Experience with fiber-optic communication systems
• Programming experience in Python or C/C++
• Active TS/SCI clearance with poly

Desired Qualifications:

• Basic optics laboratory skills
• Proficiency with Zemax OpticStudio a plus
• Knowledge of and experience with free-space optics systems
• Knowledge of and experience with image processing or signal processing
• Experience with laser systems

Software Engineer

Eritek is seeking a full-time software engineer to support the company’s optical and image processing projects.  Must work well with others and share a desire to excel.  Secret clearance required.

Candidates must be US citizens with a B.S./M.S. degree in a technical field and possess 5 to 10 years experience including intermediate to advanced Python programming.

Prior experience in real-time signal processing or image processing, database programming, field testing, and use of lab equipment is desirable.
